FAST PETROL VESSALS KAMLA DEVI COMMISSIONING BY INDIAN COAST GUARD

12Th JAN, 2023 In the name of KAMLADEVI CHATTOPADHYAY popularly name as KAMLA DEVI who had a Indian social and freedom activist. She was awarded by Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan by Government  of India in 1955 and 1987.She is known as Hatkargha Maa for her work handloom sector. She is always remembered for her contribution towards Indian Independence movement.
In today Indian Coast Guard the fifth in series of five fast Petrol Vessals was commissioned  by Director General V S Pathania, PTM, TM, Director General Indian Coast Guard.ICGS Kamla Devi is  49.9 Meters losng and 7.5 Meters wide with a displacement of 308 Tons.The  ship is capable of achieving maxmum speed of 34 knots. Powered with MTU 4000series Engines.The ship is buile indigenously by Gardern Reach Shipbuilders  & Engineers  LTD (GRSE) Kolkata. SANDIPAN DATTA/NEWS INDIA PRESS.
